Cheated On,
by Freida Hymn
A bit about me, ‘Freida Hymn’…
I would consider myself to be a fairly ‘normal’ person; a bubbly and kind wife for 20 years, a loving mother to a bright and fairly well adjusted 12 year old, and an adoring dog owner to a pooch with a ridiculous name. I have a slight celebrity crush on Stephen Mulhearn from ‘In for a Penny’, an ambition to visit every county in Europe before I’m 50 (currently on 26 out of 44), a good career who’s respected in my field, a published author and owner of a successful business. I am privileged to have lots of friends to lunch and drink with, and have a happy outlook on life.
Well, if any of you are thinking what a smug git she is, you might be pleased to know that that ‘2.4’ lifestyle got severely shat upon about 2 months ago when I found out my husband was cheating on me with a 32 year old from the Eastern Europe. Let me re-phrase that sentence, my ducking ar*e hole of a sh*t for brain husband was cheating on me with a 32 year old slutty, sexy, bint, who later described their sex life on a phone call to me as “kinky dodgy sh*t”. WTF.
To say my world has been turned up-side down is the understatement of the century, but here I am trying to find a pathway out of the thick fog that intoxicated me at the start of this ‘new life’, and in many weird and wonderful ways, having fun in doing so… To give you a flavour of what I mean, at the present moment I’m awake in the middle of the night thinking about a ‘spat’ I’ve had with one of my current three f*ck buddies! (Well there are actually 4 if you count my husband who I am still sleeping with). Welcome to my world – the secret diary of a monogamous ‘cheatee’ aged 46 and ¾.

“It might sound ordinary for a woman to find out her husband’s cheating on her, but not if you’re the woman and it’s your husband.”
